The Favara farm, cultivation and sale of organic flavours
Bioagricola Bosco has been offering a meticulous contribution to the principles of organic agriculture for years. The Favara company grows and sells organic flavours such as rosemary, oregano and grocery products. The main strength of this type of farm is the low use of auxiliary energy unlike in conventional crops where a considerable amount of energy is used in industrial processes.
The region and organic aromatic herbs
Growing and selling organic aromas means concentrating efforts on authentic products; it means defending the flavours and identity of the land. Bioagricola Bosco di Favara mainly grows oregano, rosemary and sage. All plants are grown using 100% organic methods.
The authenticity and environmental impact of crops
The Bioagricola Bosco cultivation and sales system aims to offer the consumer fresh, genuine and chemical-free products. At the same time, the company tries to reduce the environmental impact of agriculture as much as possible - this allows to respect the natural cycles of each square of land, using with a consequent lower environmental impact.
Aromatic herbs: respecting the environment and biodiversity
Water is a vital resource for the planet. Our processes of cultivating and selling organic aromas are aimed at preserving their use and guaranteeing the healthiness of the ecosystem in general. With organic agriculture, the aim is also to safeguard biodiversity - the presence and development of different species and varieties of plants in the area.
0 km agricultural produce
The cultivation and sale of organic aromas offered by Bioagricola Bosco holds the banner of product seasonality high. The Favara company distributes only seasonal spices and herbs by inserting them in the 'short chain' - a process by which the harvest is introduced into the market directly by the farmer or, alternatively, through dealers located near the places of production. There are no other links in the chain. In this way, the food does not undergo large displacements and every organoleptic property is preserved from the moment of collection to that of sale.
The organic culture of spices, the reduction of CO2
Reducing product travel time produces a lower environmental impact in terms of CO2 atmospheric emissions. Bioagricola Bosco uses a system of association through which plants unwelcome to pests and the target crop are buried in parallel sections. This technique acts as a natural pesticide. The Sicilian company has been able to stretch the limits of its cultivation and sale processes throughout the Italian peninsula.
